As a corrective exercise coach, my primary goal is to help my clients overcome pain and movement limitations by developing safe and effective exercise programs that address their specific needs. Here’s an overview of what I do in my role:
- Conduct assessments: Before creating a workout plan for a client, I perform assessments to identify any muscular imbalances or movement dysfunctions that may be contributing to their pain or limitations. This involves observing their posture and movement patterns, and may include manual muscle testing, range of motion assessments, and other tests.
- Develop customized exercise programs: Based on the assessment results and the client’s goals, I design a customized exercise program that includes corrective exercises aimed at addressing the specific areas of weakness or imbalance.
- Provide instruction and guidance: I work closely with clients to ensure that they are performing exercises correctly and safely. I provide instruction on proper form, breathing, and technique, and make adjustments as needed.
- Monitor progress: I track my clients’ progress over time, adjusting their exercise programs as needed to ensure that they continue to make progress towards their goals.
- Educate clients: In addition to providing exercise guidance, I also educate my clients on the importance of proper movement mechanics and injury prevention strategies. This helps them develop a better understanding of how their bodies work and how to maintain optimal health.
Overall, my goal as a corrective exercise coach is to help my clients move better, feel better, and achieve their goals in a safe and sustainable way.
